Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the ShineHub platform and the booking of home services through our website. By making a booking, you agree to these Terms in full. Please read them carefully before proceeding.

ShineHub is a home services platform based in Dublin, Ireland. We connect customers with independent service professionals ("Professionals"). If you have any questions, contact us at jsczlxl2001@gmail.com.

1. The ShineHub service

ShineHub acts as an intermediary platform connecting customers with independent Professionals. We are not the employer of any Professional, and Professionals are not employed by or agents of ShineHub.

We take reasonable care to verify Professionals before listing them on the platform, but we cannot guarantee the quality, safety, or outcome of any individual service. Customers use the platform and engage Professionals at their own risk.

2. Bookings

When you submit a booking through ShineHub, you are making a request for a service on the date and time specified. A booking is confirmed once:

• Your €15 deposit payment has been successfully processed by Stripe, and
• You have received a confirmation email from ShineHub

ShineHub reserves the right to decline or cancel any booking at its discretion, in which case a full refund of any deposit paid will be issued.

3. Deposit and payment

A non-refundable deposit of €15 is required at the time of booking to secure your appointment. This deposit is processed securely by Stripe and is deducted from the total service cost.

The remaining balance is paid directly to your assigned Professional on the day of the service. ShineHub is not responsible for collecting or processing the remaining balance.

4. Cancellations and rescheduling

If you wish to cancel or reschedule a booking, please contact us at jsczlxl2001@gmail.com as soon as possible.

• Cancellation more than 24 hours before the appointment: We will make reasonable efforts to reschedule at no extra cost. The deposit remains non-refundable.
• Cancellation less than 24 hours before the appointment: The deposit is forfeited and no refund will be issued.
• No-show: If a customer is not present at the agreed address at the agreed time, the booking is treated as cancelled and the deposit is forfeited.

5. Customer responsibilities

By making a booking, you agree to:

• Provide accurate and complete information, including your address, contact details, and any relevant access instructions
• Ensure the property is accessible at the agreed time
• Treat Professionals with respect and ensure a safe working environment
• Not request services that are illegal, hazardous, or outside the scope of the booked service

ShineHub reserves the right to refuse or terminate service to any customer who behaves abusively or in violation of these Terms.

6. Professional responsibilities

Professionals listed on ShineHub are independent contractors. They are responsible for:

• Delivering services to a professional standard
• Holding any required insurance or licences for the services they provide
• Their own tax obligations and compliance with Irish employment law

ShineHub does not accept liability for the acts or omissions of any Professional.

7. Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by Irish and EU law, ShineHub's liability to you in connection with any booking or use of the platform is limited to the amount of the deposit paid by you for that booking.

ShineHub is not liable for:

• Any damage to property caused by a Professional during or after a service
• Any loss, injury, or harm arising from the actions of a Professional
• Any indirect, consequential, or economic loss
• Any failure or delay in providing services due to circumstances outside our reasonable control

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or any other liability that cannot be excluded under Irish law.

8. Intellectual property

All content on the ShineHub website, including text, design, and code, is owned by ShineHub and may not be reproduced, distributed, or used without written permission.

9. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. The current version will always be available on this page. Continued use of the platform after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

10. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Ireland. Any disputes arising from these Terms or your use of ShineHub shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Irish courts.
